Gloin - Dwarf Cleric

OOC: So, I know what I want to do, but the question is, would Gloin know to do it. Green slime is probably pretty well "documented" as an underground hazard, but I don't want to assume my PC knowledge in this regard. For fear of meta-playing my character, I turn to you, oh wise LL, to let me know if Gloin (or any one of us, for that matter) knows that he must set fire to the slime. This is where those otherwise pesky Knowledge Skills in 3.x and PF come in pretty handy.

Fair question - I would say without a doubt at least one of you would know what green slime is, so the first one to post can assume having that knowledge. No need for skill points, just a quick wave of the LL/DM wand!

I believe flame works best on these... Turning toward the porters: Do either of you have a torch you could light?

The half orc will assist the porters in getting a torch or at least some rags lit to assist the elf all the while chortling, "lets get ya' cleaned up slime-bait."

Tristan - Human Thief

"Torches, right!" says Tristan. He quickly digs two out of his pack. "I only have two," he says. He hands one to Rolando and Biancalla, and tries to light one himself. Once he gets it lit, he'll jump to Thor's aid.

OOC: I glanced at the NPC page and it didn't look like the porters had any torches (unless I misread or they're listed somewhere else), so I had Tristan jump in and response to Biancalla and Rolando.

ooc: A little meta-gaming here: it will take a couple rounds to get a torch out, light it and get to Thor. I will rule that Thor can get his armor off without much problem, but it will be toasted. The slime also struck his left arm including the shield. The shield will likewise be lost. And using the old-fashioned burning technique, fire damage will be half to Thor and half to the slime until it is dead (the bit on his arm). Do you want to follow this plan?

And regarding the porters, they only have gear that you guys gave them to carry unless I missed a post way back when. If that is the case, let me know and I will update.

This might be worth a try. She will cast Freshen on the slime area that is making contact with Thor.

Thor is sitting on the ground, gasping in wincing agony. His cooking arm out before him, all red and burnt green.

"My Mum gave me that armour when I turned 16." he strikes melancholy tone. "The shield was my older brothers."


OCC: AAaahhhh yes, the old "Torch to the ceiling" bit has been learned by our Young Thor.

Lei Ming

Has no idea what to do, and does not like the slime... from the stories her companions told her of Ming's demise, she wonders if the 'green death' is as bad as the black one.
